Image Compressor

Choose one or more images to shrink their file size. Compression happens on your device, so your photos are never uploaded. Lower quality means smaller files.

Frequently asked questions

What quality should I choose?

70% is a good balance for photos: files usually get 50–80% smaller with little visible difference. Use 80–90% for images with fine detail or text.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, so your photos stay on your device.

Why is a PNG converted to JPG or WEBP?

PNG is a lossless format, so it can't be compressed much. Converting to JPG or WEBP gives far smaller files. Transparent areas become white in JPG.
